Subject: will glasses/contacts help much?
Last yr it seemed like I wasn't "seeing" the ball that clear at
times. Especially on sunny days, I'de set up then have to back off &
refocus. I don't wear glasses at present but now I'm 43 my vision is
not what it used to be. So has anybody got glasses/eye surgery & made
a significant difference. Particularly my L eye gets fuzzy & they say
that's your focus eye.

Yes, they can make a difference. I normally wear progressive lenses,
but I have a single-vision pair just for golf.

One thing: When I change prescriptions, it's often the case that
there's a short adjustment period. Your brain will adapt to the new
vision--which makes the ball appear to be in a slightly different place
relative to you than it was before--so don't despair if you get a pair
of glasses or contacts and the first few swings are disastrous.

Having sharper vision always helps me see course features better, and
it's sometimes the case for me that I can see the slopes and breaks in a
green better.

If by progressive you mean bifocals I agree 110%. When wearing my bifocals
my vision moves between the lenses during my swing. There is no way to make
a decent swing when that happens.

I have a single vision pair just for golf also.
