Subject: rules questions - posting score of DQ player
|
During a recent tournament, we had some players fail to sign their score card before turning them in, and ended up with a DQ. The question is, when posting the T scores for this tournament can/should these players scores be posted. I've looked at the usga's decisions on the rules of golf, but it's not addressed there. If anyone has knowledge of the correct ruling I'd like to a reply. Thanks.

sfb, Thanks, that's exactly what I was looking for. Even the example that section gave was the exact situation we had. Appreciate the reply. sfb wrote: > It isn't a ROG question, but rather one for The USGA Handicap System Manual. > > Section 5 Scores: 5-1/e. It isn't a ROG question, but rather one for The USGA Handicap System Manual. Section 5 Scores: 5-1/e. Disqualification A player who is disqualified from a competition, but has an acceptable score, must record an adjusted gross score for handicap purposes. For example, a player who is disqualified from a competition for failure to sign a scorecard has an acceptable score for handicap purposes.
