Subject: impulsivity is awesome

i called 3 friends out of the blue and said..lets go golfing. pick a
weekend. someone bvelted out a weekend.. picka state.. someone picked NC..
i then suggested pinehurst area.. booked 72 holes including tobacoo road
for the finale round! has anyone eprsonally played this course? is it as
good as everyone says it is!? cant wait.. my 3 feet of snow on the ground
can wait for me to get back!

You will never have as many blind shots as you will on Tobacco Road.
You have to trust yourself, don't try to be a hero, and you'll have
fun.
You'll drive up to a hole and be facing a cliff -- only 50 feet high,
but it's a cliff -- and the crib sheet will tell you to hit right over
its center. There's that double dogleg short par 5, I was on the 100
yard ker and couldn't figure out where the green was! Turns out to
be over a dune, they have a super high flag there!
It really was a lot of fun, and really, if you play good golf, easy to
score on. On the other hand, if you try to cut a corner by an inch,
it'll add a mile to your score.

I have played several Mike Strantz courses including True Blue and
Tobacco Road. I hope you like sand. It is an outstanding course and
was in excellent shape last year. Friendly staff. You should really
enjoy it. Especially #16 tee shot.
