You've given me an idea. We really don't know if shouting at the ball
influences its path. So, as a golf hack, I'm going to, on alternate
approaches where I have a chance of reaching the green (that's not a
given even from 10 feet) I'll alternate shouting 'get in the hole' with
'get in the water', or trap, whatever is the risk. After a few thousand
shots I may have meaningful statistics, but even better, since this is
research, a nice tax deduction too. I may have to test the theory on
both of the US coasts, and maybe the Golf of Mexico, and of course on
the other side of the equator, too.
I wonder if the PGA funds this kind of research, I'd rather spend some
one else's money and let them take the deduction.

Actually, it looks to me like Tranny slammed "most Americans", while
Chris pointed specifically to "a couple of buffoons". Broad brush vs.
laser pointer ... at least that's how I read it.

He definitely has that hurdle to overcome, plus the pressure of facing
the opportunity to win his first major. The odds certainly aren't in
his favor, but it would be a great story if he won.

Luke after all had lived in Chicago. He has a fan base there.
But the intimidation factor has got to come into play, I think playing
in the final pairing with Woods on Sunday adds a couple of strokes to
most everyone's game.

FANS...not detractors..... at the course. In fact, they said it should be
interesting to hear/see the support that Luke gets on Sunday, right along

99.9 % of American golfing fans are true gentlemen. Of all the
Americans I=B4ve played golf with 100% have been true gentlemen as well
and a pleasure to spend a time with. We can=B4t slam a nation of 300 M

Aside from the purple powder incident, the marshals failed to
confiscate cameras, which several fans interpreted as permission to
use them any time, any place, including during a golfer's shot.
Tiger's group was even put on the clock because they had to back off
of so many shots.

It is merely a statement of fact that there will be a few idiots in the
crowds at either golf or soccer matches. Tranny & his pal used that
fact to insult "most Americans". Chris called those two specific
posters "buffoons" for their failure to comprehend the obvious.
Tranny slammed "most" of a nation of 300 million people for the actions
of what, half-a-dozen people? Chris slammed two posters for their own
actions. Tranny used a broad brush. Chris was very specific. At no
time, to this point at least, has anyone in this thread insulted "most

personally I=B4ve only played with very civilized and nice Americans;
the behaviour of American fans is sometimes a bit debatable, though -
their treatment of Monty has been incredible. European golf fans are
usually very courteous, but of course football fans are more like a
posse of feral dogs. Goes swith the territory, doesn=B4t it? F
