Subject: reshafting a GBB

So I have this GBB with a extra firm (broomhandle) graphite shaft that
nobody can seem to hit. I can't, my friends can't, my enemies can't, it's
just too danged stiff. I'd like to reshaft it but was wondering if its worth
it seeing how old it is. It's mostly used in my "guest" clubs which consist
of my old X12s and Big Bertha drivers. Its still in great shape so I'd like
to try to restaft it before I start looking on Ebay.

So, do I send it in to Callaway to reshaft it? Have somebody else do it?
(paging Mike D). I guess it dosen't really matter to me if its a Callaway
shaft or not.

TIA
Mike

You are talking about really old technology (the GBB head). You can put a
better shaft on it for sure but then all you have is an old technology
driver with a new shaft.

If you are doing it for grins, or because it's a hobby that's one thing. If
you 're doing it in hope of getting a really great driver, I think you would
be wise to spend your $$s on something else.

IMHO

I'm not looking for a "really great driver" I already have a VFT. :-) I just
want to make this one useable. But if I can get a new driver off of Ebay for
the cost of a new shaft I'll go that route.

That would seem like a better use of resources to me :)

You can probably sell or trade in the older club for a little coin.
