Subject: nearly OT - identifying a golfing artwork

This is a long shot (no pun intended)

I bought this in the UK;

I'm guessing from the rather stylized design
it's from the 1960's.

I think (not sure) it's bronze; it
had a very small amount of blue/green
corrosion when purchased.

Does anyone recognise it? Manufacturer and/or Artist?

Is it common? Does every golf course
have the same damn thing in the bar?...

There are (of course...) no maker's
or artist's marks of any kind on it
that I've been able to find.

I hope you didn't pay too much for it? I can't imagine it being
displayed in other than a club's curio cabinet.

No - but I did find it visually appealing.

I have no expectations or hopes of it being a
"sleeper" Henry Moore.

I expect it to be a semi-mass produced
item - given that it has no name "cut"
into it, I'm guessing it once had a sticker/label
on it, identifying artist and/or manufacturer.

I was hoping that someone, somewhere might
have seen an example that still had
its label.

I was just curious; as far as being satisfied
with my purchase goes, my pleasure in the shape
and style easily justifies the small amount
I paid.

That was rather my question; has anyone seen it?
