I had 3 lessons 1) totally broke down grip, stance, ball placement 2) added wrist cock, more weight transfer 3) by this time... I was all fucked up! couldn't hit shit. She had me stand w/ my feet togather & just swing w/ my arms. Amazing how straight the ball goes when you put no body into it. Soo about 1 1/2 months after lessons (season is bout over in NY), I feel pretty good. I do better w/ a narrow stance & arm swing. I was putting way too much body & hip into it . I'm not driving as far but more acurate. I think next season I'll hit a few rounds & get a tuneup. I think w/ a pro your really paying for a pro evaluation. It's hard to pick up what were missing sometimes.

Don't worry about it. It's much better than the alternative of being a hack the rest of your life. The scores you shoot today won't mean anything in 5 years, unless you give up and go back to what seems "natural". Then 5 years from now you'll be shooting the same scores.

I've been working with the same instructor now for 4 years. It took maybe 5 or 6 months for me to start hitting the ball the way I want to.

The instructor isn't going to let you go until her boat is paid off. It has nothing to do with your progress.
