I have heard from some friends of mine that Callaway's shafts that they use
in their clubs are not that good, he went through 3 shafts. Has anyone else
experienced this?

That really depends on which shaft you are referring to in the Callaway
club. I've seen some Callaway woods come through with Aldila, Graffaloy, UST
and other shafts as well. They are clearly marked.

The Callaway shafts that I've never cared for are the ones that are
"Callaway" brand and I have seen quite a few of them fail on woods. The
Irons with "Memphis 10" shafts are another thing that I've never liked. One
flex fits all is I guess how Callaway views the world. That's not for me.

I'm on my 3rd with my 4-wood warbird, but the first breakage was my
fault. After they replace it, I broke the head off at the driving
range. I think that was 3 years ago. Since then, the shaft has been
fine.

A typical RSG'er will reshaft his Gemini driver 3-4 times a year.

They are not great shafts, but I've never heard of them breaking. My
son hits the ball pretty hard. He has a Warbird 3 wood, original shaft.
I have a Warbird 3 and 5 wood,
both original shafts, never had a problem. I'd rate them about
equivalent to Aldila VX.

I've never had a problem with callaway's shafts. And if I did I wouldn't
be hesitant about asking for a replacement, that is if it wasn't due to
mechanical damage.

They are good about honoring defective mdse. complaints.

In the older clubs like Big Bertha this was true. The factory Callaway
shafts were very inconsistent. Of course if you're talking about a Callaway
club with another shaft, then of course it's up to that shaft.
