With a drive of 368 yards. Zuback last won in 1999. This year he used a Cobra head and a Graphite Design PM702 XX-flex shaft at a 47.5" length. He collected $125,000 for his effort. During an earlier round he bashed one 389 yards. That's RSG huge. To put it in perspective, that's only about 160 yards past you-know-who's tight lie one-iron. The very top LDA guys average over 350 yards per swing in competition, in all conditions. The 5'9" Zuback has the longest winning drive in the finals, just over 412 yards back in '97. In the Women's Division, 19-year old student Phillis Meti (Auckland, NZ) qualified for the Semifinals with a bomb of 289 yards, ten yards further than her nearest competitor. Improving as she advanced, she took out her opponent with a 317 yard blast and then won the finals with a 326 yard monster. Meti won using an SMT head matched to an Accuflex shaft. Doug Miller of Ft. Wayne, IN took the Super Senior (over-55) division with a drive of 326 yards. He used a Bang head and a Stolz shaft. -- Ron

Does the Remax long drive competition ever get televised? I've never seen it on The Golf Channel. -RA RB wrote: > With a drive of 368 yards. Zuback last won in 1999. Interesting that the drive that counted in the senior division was longer 378 yards.
