Subject: Yamaha Golf cart keeps running

My 2000 gas yamaha golf cart after being driven and warmed up, the engine will continue to run slowly but steadily. I haven't seemed to be able to find a linkage problem, however I haven't taken the air filter assembly off to check at the carb. Any ideas?

They make a cleaner for 2 cycle boat engines to remove it.
