Yes that was fantastic, no watching them walking, right to the action,
every week should be like that

The networks set their broadcast times well in advance. When the TOUR
determines that bad weather is coming, and could threaten play, preventing
the tournament from being completed on Sunday, they will often start players
off much earlier in the day. When that happens, TV tapes it, then plays it
back during the original broadcast window it had scheduled.

If play had started on time, it would have been suspended due to rain and
you'd have been watching Saturday's round (or last year's final round) all
over again.

Worked out great for me. I didn't see the results beforehand and I
loved the way they edited the playoff--two shots, quick spot, back to
golf!!

It would've been great if I hadn't heard the results on the radio on
my way back from playing golf.

The last group is now playing the 16th hole. Be glad it wasn't live,
or you would have missed the whole thing.

I was surprised that they didn't edit the rest of the broadcast so
that
it finished at 6:00 pm EST. I realize they did that "live to tape"
thingy,
but you'd think they could "sneak out" 40 minutes of drivel pretty easy.

If the broadcast was shorter they couldn't sell commercials. Maybe they
figured more people would watch the playoff than would watch whatever was
next, amybe the news in many parts of the country.
