Absolutely, they are quite right to look at the Ryder Cup as a chore.
How absurd that anyone should so debase the game of golf as to
sacrifice, pure, sanctified, stroke play (with all those wonderful
statistics) for head to head matches against actual opponents.
For shame. The next thing someone will think golf is just a game.
