The press has been making a big deal about the lack of experience of
many of the individuals currently in the top ten in Ryder cup points.
I don't get it. The guys with experience only have experience losing
since the US has only won once in the past decade. How is that a
benefit? I say give some of the young guys a chance. They couldn't do
any worse than the more "experienced" players.

By the time I'm old enough to be captain, I'd pick her.

Lots of experience here - and lots of youthful hunger too! This looks
like a formidable team to me. We will beat them, though.

I agree completely. There's way too much "old boy" mentality in the world
today. Not just in sport. The average age of employees in the company I work
for is over 40. We have 2 employees out of 50 that are under 30. That's
completely out of wack. Younger people have an energy that is unmatched by
us old fogies. Bring on the youth, I say. And no, Bret, that's not what I
meant.

top qualifiers should make-up the team, favorites / has-beens should be
cheerleaders.

how else would you reward the top players, and give future potentials an
incentive?

forget the fanfare, it has been a proven loser.
