I doubt that he ever considered playing any Euro Tour events during that period, so it should have no effect. By my count, Wentworth makes ten qualifying events on his 2006 schedule, with the four majors, three WGC's, HSBC in China (played in 2005), and Dubai. He needs one more to be eligible for the OOM, and the Dunhill Links will probably be it, although AFAIK he hasn't said he'll play there. It has a lot going for it --- it's played the week after the WGC-Amex, which is in England this year, so there would be minimal travel involved. It's being played on St Andrews, which Tiger loves, and Carnoustie, where he can get some practice for next year's Open Championship. Of course, it will mean spending a full month out of the country, but since Elin's from Europe, that might be OK. Somebody will have a pretty good gig house-sitting in Tiger's compound while he's gone. Tiger's earnings in eligible events so far come to $3.96 million. David Howell, the official leader for the OOM, has $2.46 million. There are three very rich events ahead --- two WGC's and the Wentworth. If Tiger plays as usual at the WGC's, he'll have it clinched, and just have to show up at the Dunhill to win the OOM. But it's possible that someone else could win all three, and put it out of Tiger's reach.
