Re: Tiger re-upping with Nike Golf, Nike Golf president Bob Wood has this pearl to throw before the swine: "Nike is lucky to have the kind of partnership with Tiger that goes beyond a simple endorsement. He has really helped Nike Golf grow over the years through his involvement in product development, whether it is clubs, balls, apparel or footwear. In the future, we see Tiger playing a key role in continuing the strong momentum Nike Golf now has both inside and outside the USA." Tiger has "helped" Nike Golf's product development? And Kreskin sees Tiger "playing a key role in..."yada yada yada?!?! Bob Wood further expounded that in his opinion, sex is fun and occasionally produces children, he is positive his income is taxed at a certain level, and that one day most all of us will die. Thanks Bob!

But it's not a flat rate, it includes a percentage of sales. In the next contract after this one, he is supposed to get a piece of the company.

What do you think will happen to the sales of golf equipment, and the rest of the company, if Tiger signs or signed with another company? Nike owes their survival as a company to Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods, without either of them they would only be making an average basketball shoe.

NBA owns Nike. Tiger doesn't come close. To answer to the question is not as much as you think. Nike does $1B per quarter in footwear in the US and less than $100M in equipment. The 3Q 2006 Form 10-Q is at http://yahoo.brand.edgar-online.com/fetchFilingFrameset.aspx?dcn=0000320187-06-000168&Type=HTML "Bert Robbins" <screw@you.com > wrote in message news:K4WdnRIrmu6p2RzYnZ2dnUVZ_hm3nZ2d@comcast.com... > > Tiger "owns" the company right now. Yeah, well sucking Tiger's tiny dick at the podium seemed a little over the top. I'm glad he just went with the silly speech.
