Did anyone see the video? Tiger hit into the group ahead of him that was still on the green. What was up with that?

I had the local news on while I was doing other stuff, and half caught the "highlight". I either wasn't paying attention when they gave the explanation, or maybe they didn't even give an explanation since they need to squeeze the whole day's sports news into 5 minutes.

OK, I was just afraid that Pitts had started a newsletter, and didn't invite me.

How did you miss it, it was all over the place, PGA TOUR.com, Sportsline, Fox News-Golf, et al. Here is one account The green is not visible from the tee, blocked by a thick forest of stunted pines, and Woods said he didn't see the caddie's yellow flag warning that the green was still occupied. "We saw no flag so I went ahead," Woods said. "I thought they were off the green and they weren't, so I had to apologize when I got up there."

I assumed that Tiger didn't do it on purpose, not know how far his ball would travel, or forgot protocol.

Odd that Tiger seems to have mustered up desire and strength to play the last 2 weeks outside the US when he couldn't make the tournament a few weeks back because he was tired. By the way, how much money to appear is he making on these last 2 weeks?

He got 5 million dollars to play in China. How much he gets for the tournament in Japan, I don't know. Was very nice of him to rest up for those tournaments, though, and skip the Tour Championship ;-) David

I'm glad to see he'll be able to make ends meet this Christmas. Glad too he took that rest. Guess he wanted to play well for the good ol' USA. Then again, there was that Ryder Cup ;-(

the group ahead should have already cleared the green...they should know better than that "Bucky" <uw_badgers@email.com > wrote in message news:1163788787.559614.43510@j44g2000cwa.googlegroups.com... > Did anyone see the video? The previous group was still on the green and Magee's ball hit a club lying on the green and rolled in for the only ace on a par 4 in PGA history... nobody on the green, the ball rolls to the back and no hole-in-one!
