Well, if you're on the West Coast. The HSBC Champions from Shanghai, China, will be carried beginning at 8PM PST tonight on the Golf Channel.

Thanks, Tig. It's all about the $$$$$ with El Tigre. As though the first $300 million wasn't enough.

Thanks, Tig. Fine with me. There's more golf per hour in the Euro coverage, and I don't have to choose between football and golf; I just have to choose between some stupid sitcom and golf. The field isn't bad, either --- they have Furyk, DiMarco, Howell, Monty, Goosen, Donald, etc. But the smart money is on Jyoti Randhawa.

You know those people you see on your TV at the golf tournaments who aren't actually playing, but watching the play? Those are spectators. They exist. They pay their money in advance to go see the play live, and when Tiger, or other big names balk, they get pissed. Such was my case, and thousand of others. I suspect if you were in the same boat, you'd have some choice words if your idol bagged it then played a random Euro event the next week. Instead we got a heaping helping of: DL82 http://www.pbase.com/sirchandestroy/image/69643518 Luke the thrilla - boring golf courses to their knees http://www.pbase.com/sirchandestroy/image/69676626 FORE RIGHT!!! http://www.pbase.com/sirchandestroy/image/69643523 ZJ was literally counting up the players who didn't win this year, but were in the field - I could hear him talking http://www.pbase.com/sirchandestroy/image/69643688 And, of course, the guy who would play your member guest if the price was right http://www.pbase.com/sirchandestroy/image/69643697

You know those people you see on your TV at football games, who go without shirts in Green Bay in December, paint themselves yellow and green, wear a huge block of cheese on their heads, and hold up a picket fence for half the game? They're smarter than the people you're talking about, because at least they get a good view of all the players for the entire game, instead of one or two glimpses of Tiger over four days. > I suspect if you were in the same boat, >you'd have some choice words if your idol bagged it then played a >random Euro event the next week. If I were in the same boat, I'd shoot myself. As for Tiger being my idol, I'm not the one who has been bitching and pouting for a week because he didn't show up. I'm the one who criticized him for not playing the damn Disney, let alone the TC. Not because it hurt my widdle feelings, but because of the implied disrespect to the game. Apparently we both think that Tiger's sole function is to entertain us. Where we differ is how bitter and angry you get when he doesn't, while I just watch something else.

I guess my point was that some people actually go to events and play the game rather than watching on TV and bashing stats on Usenet. That's all I was saying...
