Subject: The Trouble with Chopra

Once again, my boy Daniel Chopra had a chance to make some serious cash
on the weekend.
He entered Sunday's final round at 9-under, only 3 from the lead. A
good round here and he might win the $540,000 first prize and move him
within reach of catching Annika on the money list.
So what does he do? Hey, they don't call him "Chokra" for nothing. He
followed his consecutive 68s with a big fat 74 on Sunday, pulling down
a whopping $39,400, or about what John Daly spends a week on cigs and
beer.

Lest you think I'm just raggin his dead ass, let's look at some stats.
Chokra's scoring average prior to the cut is 70.39, ranking him 21st on
Tour. Not bad.
His 3rd round scoring average is only slightly higher at 70.50, ranking
him 60th.
So how does the boy play when it comes down to the nutcrackin, you ask?
His final round scoring average is a whopping 72.61, a full 2+ strokes
more than the other rounds and ranking him 169th on Tour. I didn't
even know the Tour had 169 players!

But believe it or not, there are some big name guys ranked even worse
than Chokra on final round scoring average. Guys like J.B. Holmes, Tim
Herron, Fred Couples, and not surprisingly, John Daly. Oh yeah, Sergio
Garcia is ranked 179th playing on Sunday. Must be his yellow Sunday
outfits?

Anyway, here are the current Chopra / Annika standings:
Chokra $1,011,562
Annika $1,769,408

A big win at Greensboro this week and my man takes the lead!
Go Chokra! Pray for rain.

Mmmm, I can smell the sewage treatment plant at Pungent Municipal
right now.

Or maybe we'll play Shaker.

Get the fat boy to take you to the course full of granite down in Trenton,
Georgia. (Name escapes old man at the moment) I could be talked into
driving up and watching two pros play.

Well, he's off to a good start this morning. I think you're right,
though - the best way for him to cash a big check is a rained out
Sunday.

Oh yeah, almost forgot - *spoiler.*
