I might've put DiMarco out first if it were me.
And I would've loved to see a Woods/Garcia match.

Will Sergio be wearing his banana yellow tomorrow?

Everybody knew that Lehman had to topload to try to gain some momentum.

I don't think that David Toms and Stew Cink are gonna strike much fear
in Monty or Sergio. Perhaps Lehman's strategy was to get the Euros
overconfident or maybe to spot them a 12-6 advantage?
Or maybe the Euros will see how easy they've got it and start their
partying one night early?

I'm not convinced that the order of the lineup is that big a deal,
anyway. I mean, you gotta win 14 points. What diff does it make if
you win them early or late?
The theory is that if the first couple of guys get big leads, it'll
inspire the rest of the team to somehow play harder. I figure, if
you've got to rely on that to make them play, you're probably gonna get
beat anyway. And think of the pressure those other guys will feel if
the hotshots out front are trailing in their matches?

If the US doesn't win early points, then you and I might as well be playing
late 'cause it won't matter.

How does momentum work here?

the same way it always works...by moving the advantage to your side

"Momentum" is used in sports to mean - if I am playing well now, I
will continue to play well. It appears to have some validity
because if I'm playing well now, it is because I'm better now, and
will continue to be better.

But if Tiger plays well does it mean Henry will play well?

And if Tiger's team plays well, will Henry be playing conservatively
or how?

I don't think "momentum" works here.

I disagree, otherwise there would never be shifts in momentum...

It appears to have some validity

momentum is like a good lookin' easy goin' wife...hard to find and even
harder to hold onto :)

Karlsson vs Woods?

I can't say that there is a really compelling match out there.

Did you ever hear the word MOMENTUM? If you start Woods and Furyk 1 &2
and they both win now you are in much better shape from the 10-6 hole
you start in. BTW if Monty is theyre best should his oponent have been
our best (Woods)? Does anybody have a clue? Are you a bunch of
computer geeks or golfers?

---------

I think the most baffling thing about Ryder Cup is how inferior Woods'
record has been.

And come to think of it, he hasn't fared much better at the Presidents Cup
matches.

I mean, it's not like this guy hasn't had success in his life performing in
match play events -- 3-time US Amateur Champion, and he's won the Accenture
WGC Match Play Championship a couple of times.

It just doesn't add up.
