Subject: Sun Mountain Stand Bag -- Differences???

I'm in the market for a new stand/walking bag. A few people have
recommended the Sun Mountain bags to me (as well as the Titleists).

Sun Mountain has a Lightning and a Lightning S version but gold help
me figure out what's the difference between the two models, except
about $10.

Does anyone know?

TIA.

I know that in the last models, there was the Lightining and Lightning
ES, which stood for extra storage. Looking on the web, I see that one
of the models is almost 5 pounds. That likely has more storage.

I bought one of the big Titleist versions and am very pleased.

I've tried both an older version of the Sun Mountain and I have a Titleist
sitting here in my office with some clubs in it. They are both good bags.

But for the life of me I don't know why anyone would buy anything but a PING
stand bag? That's what's in my trunk with my clubs in it.

I had 3 Sun Mountains and the only problem was they faded after about a
year. Now I do play almost daily and walk. The company is great. One of
the legs was pinched in a guy's trunk and broke. They overnighted me a
new one, free of any costs and he bag wasnt' even under warranty any
longer. Only problem, they faded.
I have had a Titleist for 3 years now, black, and it shows no signs of
fading other than the soft fuzzy stuff at the top where the clubs to in.
Mechanically it's sound and is no problem. Don't get anything other than
a 2 strap bag. I would get another Titleist but probably not the Sun
Mountain again.

Don't know the difference between the 2 models but I would recommend
Sun Mountain. I have The G-3 (or is it 5 I'd have to go downstairs and
check...but it is just a name) which when I bought it 3 years ago was
their biggest (and heaviest) stand bag. I walk 90+% of the time and I
have been happy with it and would buy another Sun Mountain when this
one is done.

Has anybody checked out the MasterGrip bags? I have
had good luck with the gloves over the years.

I always had good luck with the Sun Mountain bag I
had years ago. Good quality company but I haven't
tried their recent stuff as my ping bag I bought at
a church sale for 5 bucks about 10 years ago is
still plugging along.
