Is there anywhere where you can find the team stats for this year's Ryder
Cup. I'm thinking of things like GIR's, fairways, putts, up/downs, etc?
Given the format it isn't straight forward in all cases.

But my impression was that the US played OK - hardly inspired but across the
team not horrible. Phil's play and Jim (used to think rock solid) Furyk's
shot on 18 being a couple of exceptions.

My other impression was that Sergio in the team format hit his irons better
than God on a good day, and that the team as a whole played phenomonally
well around/on the greens. Would like to see some stats that would
support/disprove these observations.

Thanks (and congrats to Europe - it was truly exceptional golf).

That is an encouraging thing. Putting is putting is putting. Hot
putters win, and Tiger was a very hot putter during his 5 win streak.
But he and the other Americans couldn't putt at a winning level.

The weakness of Americans in general isn't putting, it is the team
play. If the team play was good enough to be competitive, next time
they could putt better.

Not sure what you mean by "team play". If it is simply playing well while
part of a team, then (vs. the Euro's) the US sucks. But the US singles
record the past three competitions is every bit as crummy as their
Fourball/Foursomes record.
