Played a course up in Grand Blanc MI today (very close to Warwick
Hills) called "Captain's Club".

It's a Raymond Floyd course. Played the tips (6700 yards, 73.3/133)
and hit the ball great tee to green. Only missed 2 FWs all day (I'm
loving this 905R loaner I got). However, the greens keeper musn't have
gotten laid lately, because 6 of the pins were located no more than 4
feet from the edge of the green, AND on ridges. The rest were on small
plateaus. I don't think 1 pin was in the center of the green. It was
absolutely ridiculous. You'd putt the ball up to the hole, it'd roll
back. I shot 84 with who knows how many 3 jacks (as well as 2 putts on
those greens that were missed).

The GPS on the cart was VERY cool though. Color display of the hole,
and you could move a cursor around to show you a yardage to a specific
point.

Some years ago Greg Norman together with a few other pros left a
tournament because of an idiotic placement of the holes - one was
placed on a slope and might need 4-5 putts. F

So you won't be going back there again soon.
Our greenkeeper does the same all the time
and we don't get many visitors. Suits me.

I don't mind tough pin position, but unfair pin positions ruins the day.

Playing a couple really tough pin positions like that each round is
interesting. But I agree - hole after hole can ruin the enjoyment of a
round.
