Today, our 9:00 group was down to 12 people. Normal is 19-23. It was 41 when I got out of the car at 8:45. When I finished at 12:20, it had dropped to 37. I managed to make 28 points (birdie = 4, par = 2, bog = 1). Off center hits were painful by the 10th hole onward.

Real golfers or just stupid? That's like asking, "Ice, or just frozen water?"

Hardly worth the discussion here ;-) Here, in Germany, I have played golf where the temp in the morning was 25 and it warmed up to maybe 26. I still ask myself if I am that crazy. I cannot tell you how many times we have teed it up at 8:00 am and it was below freezing--sometimes with the wind blowing. Insanity at its finest. For a while, we had six foursomes every Sunday morning and the weather could not keep them away--unless it was raining and cold. To see our groups going off when it is 30 degrees outside and we were not the only ones on the golf course made me shake my head, yet, we kept playing. The only times that there was no golf being played is when the course was closed due to snow cover. David PS: I always swore that I would quit until April, since I kept asking myself what the heck I was doing out there sometimes, but it never seemed to work out that way
