Plans are moving forward for RSG Austin, to be held tentatively on the first weekend in November, 11/4-5, at Star Ranch and Kizer. There will be no "Coveted Burnt-Orange Jacket" competition. We plan on just playing some golf and having fun (there will be an optional low-stakes skins game, though). We are also planning a tasty dinner, and maybe a field trip to the Golfsmith store. So far, we have 6 to 8 players in various levels of commitment from "I'll be there, dammit" to "please keep me informed". If you would like to join this motley crew, we could probably fit in a few more. Please send email to: birdie_bill@hotmail.com if interested (note that the email address that I post under is stale, so don't auto-reply to this post). Players of all abilities are welcome, as long as they agree to keep up or pick up. Strict rules of golf will only be enforced for the skins competition, or if you want to brag about your score. Players expressing interest so far: Dave Clary David Laville Alan Charbonneau Kenn Smith Gregg Little Bobby Knight Mark Koenig

Now that would be some Jacket! -- A "gimme" can best be defined as an agreement between two golfers neither of whom can putt very well.

Nope, 8-9 hrs is my driving limit, that would get me to the TX border, IOW, 1/2 way! -- A "gimme" can best be defined as an agreement between two golfers neither of whom can putt very well.
