Subject: ProV1 Golf Balls Question

I've decided to change balls after 2-3 years playing the Callaway HX Red
(which is no longer in production). I'm going back to the Pro V1 (not V1x).

Is the V1 a bit less spinny on partial wedge shots (particularly those that
carry 25 yards or less) than it was a number of years ago? I was doing some
short game practice today using V1's for the first time in quite a while and
that was my impression.

Thanks.

dave

Dave, the "new" pro V1 (2 yrs?) is less "spinny", even on mid to short
irons. I can still yank them backwards, but on 3/4 shots or short
wedges, it's a good ball for drop and stop.

Thanks - that is my reaction as well.
