When the police showed up, they were shocked an horrified with the mess. When they asked the guy how many times he hit her, he thought for a minute and said "Eight, but mark me down for a six."

"How many times did you hit him?" asked the arresting officer. "Six, but put me down for a four." "What club did you beat him with?" "1-iron." "Yeah, that club always gets me in trouble, too."

Jason Pellow died of his injuries on his 20th birthday. William Hutt, originally arrested for attempted murder, was never charged with murder. Frank Phillips, the district attorney for Orange County, NY, strikes again with his lazy, abusive, and irresponsible administration. Oliver "Hack" Mackson, of the notoriously lazy and irresponsible Times Herald-Record, knowingly published false information in his article, stating that Pellow was still alive and "recuperating." Mackson also refused to run a retraction or correction. Perhaps these injustices helped contribute to your callous jokes about golf clubs. Golf is a stupid game for anal retentive people, who enjoy puttering around all day with balls, sticks and holes. Perhaps that is why you folks get so much amusement mocking the dead.

There are occasional posts and threads about golf and people being struck by wayward shots and temper management involving on course behavior with golf clubs. I was trying to point out that irresponsible behavior with our equipment can have serious consequences. It sounds like you know Jason Pellow or his family so I apologize if my post caused your or those you know any added grief. I live in Orange county so I will take a closer look at the DA's record. In that respect, I appreciate the heads up. Joe
