I play a couple of component heads and shafts that just don't quite get it done for me. I'm thinking of picking up either a Sasquatch or a HiBore. Who's played these, and what's the opinion on them. You may now return to your normal political banter.

My friend who was the assistant pro at the course that we played with Lowell and his son is now the head pro. We'll have to give it a go again when I come back in the Spring.

You have a very powerful swing, and IMHO anyways, you tend to overpower the driver. 99%+ of golfers will never hit their driver as far as you hit your 3W, which I have seen you hit very well...of course you only hit a 3W about 250 or so! With the distance you get with a well struck shot, the increased requirement for accuracy gets you into trouble a lot. Several times you and I have hit a ball on the same line, and I have been ok 80 yards behind your drive that winds up in the cabbage! I don't know if the club itself will make a lot of difference, maybe a heavy shaft and a smaller head? Nike is, as we all know, a ruthless imperialist exploiter of the working people in 3rd world socialist countries. That could either inspire you to buy their products or not! ;^)

Lots of different loft and shaft combos with both drivers. Didn't like either one of them although the HiBore was the better of the two IMO. Speaking of components, I like my KZG Gemini 10.5*. When I'm swinging well it's the longest driver I've ever hit. Drivers are like women...there's one for everyone, but the one for you may not be the one for me. Ya just gotta try them all til you find the one you like :) Dave

I had been using a Sasquatch for 9 months or so before I got a new callaway set (which comes with the BB 454ti) I found I hit straighter with it then anything else I demoed and the length was comparable to the longer ones. I dare say you hit longer then me but I have driven a few of the shorter (250meters) with the sasquatch.

In recent weeks, I've played with two different people who were hitting the Nike Sasquatch driver. I really liked the looks of it, and both players using it -- neither of whom would ever be confused with Tiger Woods -- seemed to hit it pretty well. I really liked the sound of it. Both offered to let me hit theirs, but since the shaft flex was so off for my swing speed (they were both hitting X), I didn't bother. Personally, I've been very satisfied with the Callaway Fusion driver I recently purchased. Randy

The rest of the clubs in my bag would puke if I put that fugly thing in there! Regular Sasquatch will be as weird looking as I will go.
