Things are getting desperate for the GOP. I only caught part of it. The content was decent (but generic, obviously), but the delivery was horrible. Honestly, can we send the man to a public speaking class? Sometimes it's hard to tell whether it's Bush or Steve Bridges. Btw, I didn't laugh harder than when I found out Barbara Streisand had a drink thrown at her during concert Bush skit. Just sing and leave out the political opinions (although I wouldn't walk across the street to see her sing).

They should get >the first apologies. First off I am not an American and I don't live in the USA. I am a New Zealander, and our governmetn has never supported the Iraq war. We do, however, send humanitarian aid to Afghanistan but do not get involved with any military intervention there. That said, and I happen to agree with it despite not necessarily agreeing with the current ruling party, I have never been supportive of any foreign intervention in the Middle East. And that goes for all of them: Israel, Palestine, Iran, Lebanon, Iran and Iraq. 'The problen began originally in the settlements both after World War I and then again after WW2 when the so-called "world powers" divided up the winners and losers and many of the Middle Eastern states were lumped among the losers. Intervention was always a lose-lose situation. History should tell everyone this. The last conqueror of Afghanistan was Alexander the great in the 4th centure BC and no one has achieved this since. This has to tell you something. My advice to Americans is this: get out of an area you know absolutely nothing about and even less about how these people want to govern themselves. They are NOT your problem. The fact that they have a lot of oil may be but that's another question. My guess is that oil is at the bottom (or top?) of the whole situation. In which case Iran and Iraq and all of the other oil-rich states should be left aong eto enrich themselves -and not you! Daisy Carthage demands an explanation for this insolence!

There is great irony in Kerry being attacked for a slip in delivery by a man who should apologize to us all every time he tries to use the English language. Not to mention his total inability to articulate any idea beyond "one, two, buckle my shoe". It's laughable, it really is. William Clark

If that is what Chavez says, then he is as dumb and contemptible as the rest of the xenophobes. Do you find it surprising when people suggest balance? What a world! Even though Slick Willy was a liar, philanderer, and now with an impeachment on his record; that does not distract from Bushtard being a coke head that thinks God speaks to him. I am not so sure one of those two is worse than the other. Both parties should be ashamed of what they keep feeding to the American public as an Executive Office offering. -- ___________________________________________________________ A strong body makes the mind strong. "I say, 'If they control oil resources, then they pull oil off the market in order to run the price up, and they will do so unless we abandon Israel, for example, or unless we abandon allies.'" --------------------- Gee, I wonder where they'd get that idea to control a country and pull their oil off the market to make oil prices go up? That is exactly what we are doing there and exactly what I try to explain to Tex every time he stupidly asks, "If it's about oil, where is all our new oil?" Glad his President could confirm it for him.

Glad his President could confirm it for him. You are never under control. So now we "control" the Oil and yet we pay high prices, then lower prices? I suppose Bush planted the false story about a bomb at a refinery today? Just so the price would go back up? I suppose Bush made the rebels in Nigeria go nutso again? Just so the price would go back up? You know, if you were as smart as you'd like all of us to think you are, you would have bought Oil futures back when Bush got elected. You'd never need the Internet again and your fat lazy shit for brains ass would sitting in Hawaii... Instead, your stupid shit self just complains it's someone elses fault, and you are stuck in BumFuck, Tennessee Oh tell us again what happened in the past...you are good at that. If you were really good, you'd know what the future will bring. Tex

It woulda cut into your drinkin money. I'm not the one out predicting the future and telling everyone that Bush does everything for Oil. That's your song and dance. However, my portfolio does contain alot of "big Oil"....much like Gore, Kerry, Dean, etc... Afterall, you'd have to be stupid not to have a little money invested in a product that everyone needs, wants, and continues to buy. Tex
