If you cannot line up your shot without your caddies standing behind you,
you should not consider yourself a professional!

Even Faldo did that, and I don't think he was in the LPGA.

I'm surprised more men on the PGA Tour don't do it. Probably an ego thing.

Note to Ken 123, it is within the ROG. 2nd note to Ken 123, if you think you
could beat any of these women/girls (with or Without a caddy) you are
kidding yourself.....

Note to BF: K123 may just be trolling, but he has a point... just not a
very sharp one. His panties are in a knot, when actually, those in the
business simply ignore the sometimes curious, if not tedious act of
caddie-confirmation, before making a shot. Mostly, it's a youngin
phenomenon.

The reality is that you can check alignment, and posture, and so on, but you
can't tell if the clubface is square to your readings. You also can't swing
the club for them, and Iron Byron can't either, i.e the alignment is only
correct if the player does everything exactly as you visualize it. Unless
a player is having trouble getting lined up on a given shot, this practice
is somewhat useless, except that is does open the door, in case a scapegoat
is needed.

Most tour pros have a pretty good idea what they want to do. Some of them
need a kick to do it. So be it.

Note to K123: try dictionary.com, type in "professional"

Hmm. Seems like caddies are sort of traditional in golf. Different
players (men & women) utilize them in different ways. Some caddies are
vitally important to their players, and others more or less just carry
the bag and give yardages.

But I can't imagine that it should bother you either way. If you have a
caddy, use him/her in your own way. Otherwise, shut up.

I wasn't bothered at all like you when I saw Jim Furyk's caddy doing
the same thing yesterday.

I'm in favor of not even having caddies... :) Does Barry Bonds had some
smuck carry his bat to the plate for him? :)

Don't all major league baseball teams have bat boys?

I seem to remember they did before 1994 when I watched my last game.

There's got to be rules about caddies helping their players. How about
deaf, blind mutes? Personally, I'm in favor of caddies not being able to
assist the player in any way, other than carrying their bags, and spotting
the ball.

They carry bats away from the plate (usually because the player is no
longer anywhere near it)... not towards it... :)

As long as the check clears, they don't care.
