Is the new Nike Sasquatch 460 a good driver for the price or is it just
the hype because of Tiger

The previous post said that "Tiger ain't that hot with it [the
driver]". The score is not a valid argument for supporting that a
player is good with their driver. A player could be compensating for
their bad driving with outstanding irons and putting to achieve a low
score.

The PGA stats say that Tiger is #6 in driving distance and #156 in
driving accuracy.

Seems to be the new norm on the PGA, hit it as far as you can, and
play from the rough....

I suspect that if he wanted to, Tiger could reverse those two
statistics.

Both stats beat the hell out of all us schmucks posting on RSG. That
IS a valid argument.

What might be valid is that a pro and #1 can only muster up a 156 in

have that reversed and think the club was fantastic.

Demo it. Just because Tiger hits it is no reason to buy one. But I
suggest you try the Callaway Fusion also. I got mine from my brother,
who didn't like it, and I am carrying it at least 20 yards longer than
any driver I've had. And even though it is a 460 cc, I can hit it
off the deck too. It sounds like crap, but even the worst sounding
drives are carrying further
than my best drives with my Cobra 440SZ.

Besides, the driver Tiger is using probably has no resemblance to the
one you would buy,
except for the name.

The Sasquatch is selling for $249, but with the "pro-line" shaft it sells
for $399. The shaft does make the difference. Demo it. For me it was long,
but low trajectory. Same for the Cleveland HiBor.

I dunno. I think one could argue that -15 under for two rounds on a
7,100 yard course should be called "hot."

You've not learnt anything from RSG have you? We are not allowed to
criticize ANYONE on ANY professional golf tours because they play better
golf than us. ;P

That includes Michelle Wie cause "I'm sure she'll kick your butt on any
golf course".

Funny, but I don't see any irony at all. Everything you posted was
dead on.

Not being allowed to discuss in a discussion forum is pretty ironic,
don't you think?

It's Nike, therefore it's junk. This particular driver seems allergic
to short grass and has an amazing affinity for trees.

Buy a quality driver from a real golf equipment company and not a hype
machine.

Don't let the Nike/Tiger haters convince you that the SQ is a POS. It is a
great driver. Long and forgiving. I love mine. And just to shut the idiots,
I bought mine before Tiger started using it, so no I did not buy it because
Tiger used it. Tested several drivers and the SQ was the best, at least for
me.

No way.

The way pro-ho marketing works is that the pro-ho marketers offer
EXACTLY the same make/model club their pro uses to amateurs,
irrespective of whether that is the best club for them or not.

Then, they will also offer something similar but tuned for the
game of a mere mortal.

But you can be sure the most expensive top of the line club
is exactly like the one in Tiger's bag. Otherwise the whole pro-ho
marketing campaign falls apart.
