Subject: New things to learn now for winter

Got 9 holes in this afternoon & learned I need to adjust to the frozen turf
when it comes to the short game.
#1 -- Perfect tee ball --- missed the green short by trying to use less club
& play the "bounce". 2 more lousy bump & runs got me on from 20 yards out &
2 putts for a double..
#2 Killed my Tee ball -- 60 yards out -- 3 chips later I 2 putt for a
double.
I also doubled #5 from the frozen bunker --- Got it out & on but a long way
from where it should be & 3 putted for the 3rd double --- the other holes
were 5 pars & one bogey.
I did reach pin high on one of the par fives --- with Driver / 7 wood but my
lousy chip on that hole left me a big breaking putt.
28 degrees with a small breeze -- perfect weather!

Doesn't sound like fun to me. You probably play a lot better than me, but I
get to play in warm weather.
