Subject: New Golf Terminology

Herewith and heretofore, a badly pulled golf shot or putt shall be
known as a "Lidle."
IOW, a Dead Yank.
It's time we let Thurman Munson rest in peace.

If you miss the ball altogether, you may call it an "A-Rod."

The good news is that I played today and didn't have any A-Rods.
The bad news is that I had quite a few Lidles. Some of them were big
dead yanks while others were just little Tug McGraws.
But considering it's been over 6 months since I've played, I was pretty
happy with my ballstriking.
I was less enthusiatic about my 39 putts, however.

But it was a joy to get out in the perfect 70=B0 weather under a
cloudless sky and play golf with the King Bros., Bill-o and Sparky.
Sparky is hitting the ball a ton these days and Bill-o's game has
improved as well. Bill-o has picked up about 30 yards of length since
I last played with him. Must be in the genes.

Oh yeah, one more thing .... you know how you can tell a real pro?
They have their name on their bag.

And a putt that only catches the "lip" is a Lewinsky...

Yes he did and I believe that makes him the first multiple BAT winner
on RSG.

I bet his 6 year old son would get a kick out of this one.

You're quite the humanitarian.

I actually had him killed at the turn, largely because he was fighting
a balky putter and I was playing out my mind. The slick undulating
greens there made putting difficult for all of us. However, Sparky got
his putting woes under control on the back side and made 3 birdies
while my putting continued to deteriorate as the drugs wore off.
Sparky used the Ben Hogan method for making birdies ... just knock it
so stiff you can't miss it. Meanwhile, I was hitting it like Ben Hogan
and putting like Hulk Hogan.
It should also be noted that we were playing a course (Nob North) which
Sparky had never seen and I pretty much have memorized from playing
there for 20 years.
