Subject: My round today and the damn stats

Played this afternoon, a relatively easy track 69.9/119

Shot a 42/44, finally breaking my run of 88s. They made us play the
back nine first and despite two penalty shots and only 2 GIRs, I shot
42 with 16 putts, including one 3 putt. Followed that up with 44,
hitting 5 GIRs , two 3 putts and a total of 18 putts on the second
nine.

So 7 GIRs, 34 (blech) putts, no question what needs work. Funny thing
is, I felt that I was stroking the ball well on the greens. Still
fighting a hook with my irons; if I can get that under control, my
first putts may be closer.

Gonna try get out Sunday and improve this. We are probably 3 so far.
Anyone wanna make up the foursome?.

I played Redwoods today and did much better than on the weekend.

2 birdies, and barely missed a 3rd. 31 putts total, and only one lost ball,
which seems not bad for that course, with all the trees.

That's a tough course to walk though. Glad it wasn't hot out.

glad to hear things went better. that course can be a bear if you are
not striking the ball well, lemme tell ya. some of those hills between
the holes sure gets the heart a pumpin' :)
