For it to happen over 36, with a long enough break between rounds to consult with swing coaches, is really hard to explain. Donald is the only survivor of the seven players who were in the WGR top 15. The biggest surprise to me was Els, who was playing his home course, and lost ignominiously by hitting both his drive and his provisional OB on the 35th hole.

Match play is a different animal. Tiger's streak wasn't about winning each day - some people beat him one day and others another day.
