She's a multi-criminal. First she murdered her bf and then she bought
her way out of prosecution.

You are delusional and an asshole to boot. Sorry to be so uncivilized, but
there's no other way to approach this. You don't have a fucking clue what
you're talking about. That's not uncommon here, but you aren't talking
about 1-irons from thin lies or simple political neuroses, either. W is
fair game; Mrs. W is not. Especially given what you want to talk about.

I'm sorry if you've lost someone you love to a drunk driver. If that's what
drives you, I'm truly sorry that it is so. I no longer believe you are
trolling, but if that is wrong, then bravo. You've done a good job of it
and Misanthrope should take some lessons from you. If you aren't trolling,
then please find someone to help you. There are people around you who can.
What you're doing only makes things worse.

Now that I think about it -- go get some help if you _are_ trolling, you
sick bastard. Otherwise, I expect I'll be seeing you on CNN some fine
morning. They have their hands full without you adding fuel to the fire.

I don't disagree with you.

But how do you account for the right going after Mrs. Clinton when she was
the First Lady?

Or how the right went after Mrs. Kerry?

If you guys on the right want to set the rules, that's fine. But at least
show some consistency by actually sticking to them.

There is a real difference - Mrs. Clinton participated in the
presidency more than Mrs. Bush does.

But the main reason they went after her is they didn't and don't like
her image. (Uppity city professional woman)

>Or how the right went after Mrs. Kerry?

I think they mainly went after Mr. Kerry's marrying into money.

>If you guys on the right want to set the rules, that's fine. But at least

We need to remember - both "the right" and "the left" consist of lots
of different individuals who have lots of different opinions.
Expecting such groups to be consistent doesn't make sense.

We can reasonably demand that particular individuals in the right and
in the left be consistent.

1. I'm not on the right.

2. I never went after Mrs. Clinton or Mrs. Kerry. Anyone who did so in a
manner similiar to what LBMHB does to Laura Bush is no better, at least as
far as I'm concerned.

3. If you are lumping in the criticism of Mrs. Clinton's and Mrs. Kerry's
political activities with what LBMHB does, you should think it through a
little more carefully.

The wives of people who run for, or hold, any political office are
always an issue. Obviously, the higher the office, the more this is
true. Geraldine Ferraro's husband's alleged connections to organized
crime came up when she was a VP candidate so it's not just wives that
matter.

Obviously, the more likeable the President's wife is the better. Laura
Bush comes across as a very gracious lady and that's why she's so well
liked. Teresa Heinz, on the other hand, comes across as an obnoxious
bitch. Hillary Clinton doesn't come across nearly as well as Laura
Bush, but her persona is not nearly as bad as Kerry's wife.

Laura does what the good republican wife is expected to do.....stay in
the background, smile a lot, talk when talked to and now and then read a
book to someone......maybe her husband. Oh, she lights Christmas trees
too, sorry.

"Likeable" varies by individual. There are *lots* of people who
like the professional "smart" woman like Hillary Clinton, and dislike
mousy wife types.. And *lots* of people whose tastes are just the
opposite.

We elect people we are comfortable with.

There is such a thing as popularity. Anyone who's been to High School
knows that some people are more popular than others. No one will be
popular with 100% of the people they know, but there seems to be
something about certain people that most other people will find
appealing. Often, it's the unpopular people who most dislike the
popular people, for obvious reasons.

Actually, a popularity poll was conducted on political leaders (sorry
no Laura Bush) and the results put Rudy on top.

"Americans have the warmest feelings about former New York City Mayor
Rudy Giuliani, Republican Sen. John McCain and Democratic Sen. Barack
Obama, according to a poll released Monday that scores the popularity
of national leaders.

The Quinnipiac University's ''thermometer reading,'' taken the week
after the Nov. 7 election, asked voters to rate their feelings for 20
leaders on a scale of 0 to 100.

Giuliani, a Republican weighing a presidential bid in 2008, scored the
highest at 64.2. Obama and McCain, who are also considering a 2008
campaign, finished next at 58.8 and 57.7.

President Bush was 15th out of 20 while his secretary of State,
Condoleezza Rice, was fourth and former President Clinton fifth.

New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton scored ninth of the 20 leaders
with a score of 49. Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry, the 2004 Democratic
nominee who was roundly criticized before the election for suggesting
that students who don't study could end up stuck in Iraq, came in last
at 39.6.

Democratic Rep. Nancy Pelosi, in line to become the next House
Speaker, improved her standing, moving from last to 12th in a few
weeks. The next Senate Majority leader, Democrat Harry Reid, was 19th.

''As we enter the presidential campaign of 2008, Giuliani and McCain
are in enviable positions,'' said Peter Brown, assistant poll
director. ''They are well-regarded and most Americans are quite
familiar with them. Obama's showing is impressive, but four in 10
Americans still don't know enough about him to have an opinion.''

The telephone poll was conducted from Nov. 13-19. Quinnipiac surveyed
1,623 registered voters nationwide and the poll has a sampling error
margin of plus or minus 2.4 percentage points."

With long and involved rants like this it's odd that you'd have time to

I'm mighty quick. If that's a criticism, then don't read 'em. I'm sure

Actually, I thought this "profile" of Laura Bush made her out to be
very likeable. So what if she smokes?
