In the sense of dominating your chosen sport. I've always felt Ruth
was the greatest athlete america has ever had and i still feel that
way. No baseball player has ever come close to ruth while nicklaus and
snead were very much in tiger's league. Basketball player wilt
chamberlain is the only athlete who dominated his sport about as well
as Ruth did his.

A lot of people put Danny Ainge up there with all around atheletes. He had
more sports offering him a pro job than Bo Jackson, I think.

I'm not a baseball fan, so I've been waiting for somebody else to say
this, but I'm not getting any younger. Who says nobody has come close
to Ruth? What records does he still hold, other than most strikeouts?

Sorry for this. I know I'm not your conscience but ...
I can forgive Laura Bush, in my mind, (I do not want to sound like I think I
have a delusion that I can forginve anyone anything, except for in my own
little world) for killing her boyfriend. But, I can't figure out why she
supports a juvenile wannabe Christian who seems unable to speak coherently,
and much less able to make decisions affecting future generations of the
world. If George Bush is as immature in his religion as he seems to be (and
it hurts me to even think about this) and if Laura Bush knows this and
continues to support him, she is doing something much worse than causing an
accident that took the life of someone she cared for.

I just don't get your attention to this, but I will not mention it again. I
like your posts.

I think that is questitonable thinking? :) I don't think he is even in
the same league ad Jordan for instance. John Kruk once said, "I'm not
an athlete... I'm a baseball player." That pretty much sums up my
opinion of Ruth.

Highest career slugging average. And no one else is even close. In my
admittedly minority opinion, that is the greatest record in baseball.

And Ruth does not hold the record for most strikeouts. In fact he's
number 78!!!!! The fact you admitted you are not a baseball fan is the
only thing that keeps me from calling you the idiot you obviously are.

Good for you. But the issue re laura is not whether she should be
forgiven for her terrible crime. The issue is should she have been
punished? Only a serial criminal-coddler thinks it was right to not
even prosecute here.

Not really serious...but the girl is unbeated for more than 3 years in
singles...
It's still a paralympic sport ...

You were looking for someone dominating her/his sport...well...this
girl is the king of a sport that's taken very serious in the
handicapped world...and the sport is played all over the world

Or do we have to make some sport categories ?
