Subject: I walk too fast!

Played 9 holes early yesterday afternoon. A 2some in a cart was a bout
a hole ahead of me. I hung back on them a bit so as to not crowd them.
The second shot on #7 is kinda blind, but I did hiit my tee shot, walk
to it, and wait a bit before I hit, but as it turned out the shot
landed maybe 30 yards behind them. I figured they'd be on the green,
but they were looking for a ball, apparently.
In any event, they told me to play through, and suggested that I walked
too fast. I don't know if they were being cranky about it or not, but
they also said I must be in great shape to be able to walk that fast. I
assumed they were noble (as they were golfing!) and gave them the
benefit of the doubt, although I did think of a good comeback...which
is rare for me!

When I play alone, I really do walk too fast. It seems that I can catch up
to just about anyone if I don't deliberately slow myself down which has the
side benefit of helping my game and it needs all the help that it can get;)

It's not obvious reading the above, whether the catching up or the
slowing down has this benefit.
