I'd say the four most likely winners are Woods, Furyk, Els, and
Donald. They're all in the same "lower" bracket. Their world
rankings add up to 20, and Els lives by the course, and helped
redesign it.

The "upper" bracket is so called because it contains the number one
seed, Michael Campbell, whose WGR of 26 doesn't even make him the
highest ranked golfer named Campbell. Its four best are Scott,
Goosen, Howell, and Monty. Their world rankings add up to 37. They
could throw out the guy with the worst ranking of the four, Monty, and
their three best would still have a total WGR of 21.

It's bad enough that they seeded Campbell number one. It's ridiculous
that they rigged it so that the best players will knock each other off
before the final. It's no wonder that even with the highest payday in
golf, they can't attract the top stars, except this year when they
have to be in England anyway.

What a clever fellow you are. You know, you could make a fortune
betting on golf. All you have to do is find a bookie who lets you
make your bets after the results are in.
