Is there a lifetime for graphite shafts? I have 14 year old Ping
Zing2's with Graphite shafts (love 'em by the way), well cared for,
used regularly every year. Should I expect any degradation of the
shafts?

Graphite will degrade but it will not be noticable. Take care of it and
it should give you a couple of years before you can retire it.
If you enjoy using it and have no problems with it, don't change it

He's already gotten 14 years out of them. What do you mean a couple of
years? Keeping graphite shafts in the wrong golf bag will wear the shafts
near the ferrules faster than degrading graphite.
