Do you feel yourself choking or getting worried that someone else will miss
a putt?

What amazes me is the way they can read a green. That's such a mystery
to me.

How do you practice your putts? Do you make it a point to practice
your reading them at least as much as the strokes?

Sometimes when a pro on TV is standing over a 40-footer I have the
strange sensation that he'll make it ... especially if I just heard a
big roar 30 seconds earlier while they were showing Tiger read his
putt.

The giveaway is when they are showing the leaders all day long and then
all of a sudden they'll say, "Let's go to Zach Johnson on #18." Zach
might be 4-over on the day, but you can bet your sweet ass he's gonna
make that one.

I used to feel, more than I do now, the same feelings as if I were hitting
the putt ...

most pro putts are missed due to carelessness, as a result of being too
uptight.

I feel the excitement.

It amazes me how good their speed control is.

There was or is a school of psychology that says to substitute the word
'excitement' for nervousness and 'opportunity' for 'challenge' or 'problem'.
Is that the kind of excitement you feel? or is it just good excitement?
Thanks
: -)

I have no idea.

Most of the time, it is just enough to keep me from falling asleep.

Other times, it does't do much for me and I slip into a deep and gentle
slumber.

Sort of like baseball or watching a bunch of rednecks drive cars in a
circle.

Otto, you're just sensitive.:--)

Do you also feel the grains of sand under the tires, when the sun
mountain rolls over them.

When you say, 'no empathy', do you mean neither positive or negative
feelings or just no rooting for them?
