There are still a few people out there, I assume, who would like to see Greg Norman playing golf every once in a while. I understand that he has moved beyond that to support his various businesses, but that doesn't excuse last-minute cancellations when he commits to a tournament. JUPITER, Fla. -- A late adjustment in Greg Norman's schedule unfortunately means he will not be able to participate in the JELD-WEN Tradition. To me, this kind of announcement is pure rudeness.

greg is probably in a catch-22 situation, he wants badly to play but golf is not his no.1 priority. how could a guy concentrate on golf when he is preoccupied with other things? maybe one day he will just throw in the towel for good, and that will stop any speculation. >mho >v fe >=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0"d R i V e =A0L e $ s"

Who wants to see him anyway? Unlike most of the other tour pros, he doesn't even attemt to hide his primadonna aloof attitude toward the fans he made his money from.

I met him once, at Riverside Oaks outside Sydney just before a tournament. It might have been the Australian PGA, not sure if it even exists anymore. Of all things I was building the scoreboard behind the first tee (and making a mess of it because we were running out of time the day before an event). He came up to play a practice round the day before the tournament and had a chat with us, signed a few things, he looks aloof, he's got one of those faces I think, but he's certainly not a prima donna. Was a friendly dude. During the tournament I remember he drove a par 4 across water and eagled it, shot low 60s and won the event by a mile.

I agree with you and I'm not a big fan of the Shark as well. Probably one of the most OVERATED players in the history of golf.
