If Jack can change the standard, so can Tiger. I say the greatest
golfer of all time is the one who wins the most Player of the Year
awards.

Winning the PGA gives Tiger his eighth Player of the Year Award in his
first ten full years on tour. In his long career, Jack had five, with
only one coming in his first ten years. Tiger has most likely
clinched the Vardon and money title as well, along with the OOM if he
decides to go for it.

The point? You are Clark Griswold driving around and around and around
that roundabout proclaiming "Look kids, Parliament! Big Ben!" You are
Wayne Hoover in Breakfast of Champions w/ insipid echolalia. You
should have a large "O" sewn on your shirts for you, sir, are Captain
Obvious - "Looks like you've got a flat tire...durp!". You are the
incarnate of Monty Pyhton's "Department of Redundancy Department".
You're a broken record...a "Bay City Rollers" record. You are Bill
Murray from "Groundhog Day". You are David Byrne in the big suit -
"Same as it ever was!"

FTR, I agreed with your 10,000th "Tiger is the best ever" post which
was roughly 15,000 Tiger posts ago. We know it, Multi, we don't need
the incessant reminder.

I wish every damn one of his posts was in praise of Tiger!! I find
them interesting, and it beats the hell out of having to listen to his
politics!

Lots of people still dispute it. That aside, each of my 10,000 posts
about Tiger comments on a different event or stat, unless it's
directed to a specific question from someone who had an unfortunate
childhood, and didn't get to read my earlier posts. Each of your
10,000 posts about me says the same damn thing.

You know, don't be such a child. I don't know him. I see the public
persona on camera like everyone else. He acts spoiled and hurt if
anyone questions his ability - the Stephen Ames thing, for example,
where all Ames said was that maybe he had a chance given Tiger had not
been driving it very straight.

Tiger was rude to him before and after slaughtering him, and it just
showed him to be a petulant ass, and not at all any kind of gentleman.
I'm old enough to remember when that word meant something, when people
- even athletes - sometimes tried to be one.

But you and Multi and the rest win this one. Just wanted to voice my
opinion, but the pissy replies - and thanks for the big finger JPG for
whichever of you cowards sent it from
"tigeriswatchingyouasshole@hotmail.com" - have just made me rethink why
I even bothered.

This group is full of folks who want to mow down anyone who doesn't bow
down to whatever their opinion. I just got a little exhausted about the
Tiger worship that ran on TV all week and then into the first dozen
postings or so here on the group.

Should have just not bothered. Thank god I have a 2:14 tee time to
worry about instead of this bullshit.

If you just wanted to voice your opinion, you should have done it like
you did above, instead of barging in and greeting us with a cheery,
"Tiger is an asshole." The stuff you said about Ames is perfectly
reasonable. The stuff you said in your previous posts was not, and
you shouldn't be amazed that it wasn't received well. See ya.

I don't see that Tiger was rude to Ames. He was asked by the press
what he thought of Ames' remark about "where he's (TW) hittinig it".
All he Tiger said in response was "9 and 8".

Yes, I must become a sycophant immediately.

On my way to the brain washing academy. Jim Nantz is standing by to
give me the Kool-Aid.

I have watched pro golf since about 65 and nobody is as good as Tiger.
He's better, works harder, and has a stronger mind. A brilliant
brilliant man.

I have absolutely no problem with that. But don't delude yourself; he's
also an asshole. And maybe he's an asshole because the great unwashed
want too much for him.

Since you know him so well, and obviously on a personal level, let us

You seem to have a problem being one of the great unwashed....in your
mind anyway.

I'd be scared if I had his type of idolization - scared that I'd start
to believe the fans and stop getting as hungry as I want. Get away
from all of the autograph seekers fawning over him and go to people
who accept him as a person.

Making multi's screen name ironic.

And yes, multi, Tiger is really great. The greatest ever. I watch and
marvel at his game and his superior mind. Does that make him any less
of an asshole, racing off to the yacht to avoid the great unwashed?
That scene with him on 18 being disturbed by noise was just typical.

Listen guys, I'm really sorry I'm bothering you. Normally I would
turn my car over and set it on fire after a big win by my favorite
athlete, but it was repossessed last week, so all I can do is exchange
posts with the other idiots who think winning his 12th major is a
semi-big deal.

As for Tiger, no excuse. After less than a hundred interviews with
various media from around the world, he left Medinah well before 9 PM
local time. He should have sat on a camp stool in the parking lot
until at least midnight, signing autographs for jerks who will sell
them on Ebay tomorrow. Sure, he has to play a WGC event in a couple
of days, but he can sleep on the bus.

You know what, I didn't hear any swearing from him this week, so I
wondered what he would be criticized for. I guess you can always find
something.

How do this make him an asshole? Should he not spend the money
that he has earned? Should he instead hang around at the local
mall where he would undoubtedly be mobbed by both the washed
and unwashed?

Typical of photographers who refuse to wait until the appropriate
time to take their photos -- I couldn't agree with you more.

Do you think that anyone of his means would hang around to be with
you? I doubt it. Who can blame him for living a lifestyle that he
can afford?

This is typical. Picking fly-shit out of pepper! If he was
