While not a pitch and putt, but a full course, Craig Ranch in the
Summerlin area (off MLK blvd) is cheap and you can rent clubs there,
also cheap. You get what you pay for, but its good for bringing kids
or beginners. There is a par 3 at the Calloway driving range as
someone else suggested. I played that when it was new and it was in
nice shape, then again 3 or 4 years later and it wasn't so nice.

Craig Road is a par 69-71, I think and it is a ways from Summerlin. You can
play there for about $29, at least that was the fee a month ago. They are
tearing it down to make a park. How soon I'm not sure. Be sure to find out
what the reseeding schedule is like for the time you are comming. It's going
on now and for the next few weeks.

while it's a nice course it's near Reno not Vegas. Unless of course
they've created a second course by the same name as the original. If
that's the case I haven't played the new one :)

It's a short course, two on the front and one on the back.

Angel Park has a great par 3 course. The Callaway Golf Center is way
over priced,
both for the course and in the golf shop.

Not sure exactly what you mean by a "chip and putt course", but there's
a par 3 course that's part of the Callaway Golf Center at the far end of
'The Strip'. I didn't get a chance to actually play the time I was there
since it was busy with a tournament, but it looked pretty nice (and has
lights for night time). Also a large golf store and nice practice range
in the same complex.

The Callaway is lighted but the holes are all very similar, even in yardage.
I think it's either 140 or 160, except for one hole. I'm looking forward to
playing the par3 at Angel Park, or around there. It has replicas of famous
holes throughout the world. I think it might be more fun playing a bad round
there than a really good one at Callaway. If you do go to Callaway, though,
can you let us know what kinds of special club fitting equipment and
facilities they have?

W. Craig Road does run into Summerlin, Craig Ranch is about 5 miles
east of Summerlin on that same road. But you're right, the address is
really North LV, I know someone their who lived in both sections so I
might have gotten visits confused!

Craig Road runs into Lone Mountain, but I wish it did run into Summerlin, it
would increase my property values. I live between Craig and Anne.

Ok, Ok, you live there, and the other direction from my
approximation... don't go peda on me! You are also talking feet and
yards when talking property value, Lone Mountain is like 7000 feet from
the one side of Summerlin. It appears that if one is a buyer, LM *is*
in Summerlin (or so a realtor might tell them). Keep that in mind if
you sell...

Who can afford to sell now? : -) I'd have to move to Boulder City, which
isn't bad either, really. I hope some of you guys will give me a call when
you get to Vegas. 555-1212. Seriously, don't let one bad experience spoil my
reputation.
