Subject: Central/Southern FL Golf Trip - March

Got a group of 8 who typically go to Orlando each year 3rd week of
March for 5 days to play. Been renting a house and booking courses
piecemeal. Looking to switch it up this year and go someplace new,
still in FL for now. Have to keep trip 3rd week of March. Can anyone
recommend a good resort, package or place to find either of these? The
whole trip including R/T air from Boston <=$1400. That's golf, food,
airfare, lodging. Most of us are hackers. 40 yrs old so we don't want
to sleep 4 to a room or 2 to a bed.

Thanks!

There was recently an article in Golf Digest about the best road trips
for golf. I think they did one on this area of Florida. You might
try to find it at your library. It was one or two months ago.

Good call to go (stay) to Florida. I love Myrtle Beach but the weather is
too much a ? in March.

Have you considered TX? Either San Antonio or Houston have some great golf
and attractions.

We had peeked at AZ, not TX yet, however the organizer of the trip is
pretty anal and MUST book by now. He generally books it in July! I
think it'll be too much to try TX at this "late date". I will look for
the Golf Digest article mentioned. I think I saw it on a plae recently
and some of the places I saw might have been too much, but I'll look
again. Yes, Myrtle was discussed but weather factor was a concern.
