Nice course, herds of goats roam free- kind of funny, but it's not a "goat track" :) The map showed two courses when I was there but a bartender told me the other place was a layout in the desert where you have to bring a mat with you, I guess a practice place for locals before TDS went up. Haven't been to the other places. Steve

Never been on a cruise, but I assume you might be there as little as one day, maybe two? In that case, it's different on how you budget your time. But yes, I'd play it again if I was there several days. If you decide not to golf in aruba, I'd recommend renting a small 4WD jeep with a rag top for at least 1 day and go to natural bridge and natural pool on the other side of the island. You can ride around the perimeter easily in one afternoon.

You can ride around the > perimeter easily in one afternoon. We're there for 1 day (we spend 1 day at each port and the ship sails at night). Someone said that the Natural Bridge collapsed and is gone. We'll have beaches at all the other ports. So I was thinking maybe one day of golf during the cruise. Our other port that I didn't mention is St. Thomas, but we'll be going over to Trunk Bay on St. John that day. Which leaves the other 4 ports to find one place to play golf - if it's worth while... but we'll just hit the beach if golf isn't worth while. Golfing during a 1 day stay is always a trade off. I golfed last year during a cruise that stopped in Ireland. I missed seeing Dublin, but got to play one of the top courses in the world - Portmarnock. Can't do both. So you've gotta pick. That's why it's good to be able to ask someone else's opinion. To help you pick "right". --Tom

It's certainly not "beach" per se, because aruba is arrid/desert like, like other tropical places. Oh, if you are not eating on the boat for some reason, there's a steak house that does Argentine beef. Best steak I ever had!

I think I'll play it this way... if the weather here in NJ is good (first week of December) and we're still golfing, I'll skip golf on the trip. If we've had bad weather here already.. we may play just for our golf fix. Thanks. That helped frame it. --Tom
