carry 2 putters in his/her bag? keeping in mind the 14 club limit? I
know Phil carried two drivers a while ago.....

Thanks all...that is what I thought, but this guy's wife, had one
putter, and got another as a gift, and now (for whatever reason) wants
them both in her bag. Her husband thought otherwise.

A player can carry 14 putters if he wants to.

Hmmmmmm......not a bad idea.

There is a sign here at one of our local courses that reads: "If you carry
a ball retriever, it counts as your 14th club." In other words, no ball

That sign is in contravention of the Rules of Golf.
It's not something that one can (in usual fashion) use to strike a
ball.

As long as the number of clubs do not excede
14, you can carry thirteen putters and one driver.

Ahh, you beat me to my answer. Daley should probably carry two backup
putters.
He never hits a 7,8,9 iron anyway.
