Something negative I guess. These players are tremendously skilled and
in the Bridgestone Invitational the US Ryder team played far better
than the European. There must be some (unknown) psychologial reason why
they can=B4t muster their best when they stand face to face with the
adversary. They seem to prefer strokeplay where you sort of hide in the
multitude. Mind you, I=B4m not for generalizing, but their loss of form
in Ireland is very surprising to me. Since golf is not war or politics
the relation with Iraq is of course only symbolic. F

I think the Europeans just play better in this format rather than the
Americans playing worse. I suppose it is subject to debate and opinion
since the format is different than what we are used to watching.

I=B4ve all my life been strongly pro-american but I must admit that they
are making a mess of everything nowadays. Somewhat like a chessplayer
who plans only one or two moves ahead. As to the Ryder Cup I=B4ve no
doubt that they will bounce back soon. Maybe they should make Hal
Sutton their captain next time. He=B4s a tremendous fighter. F
