The LPGA showed guts with the elimination/reset format of the ADT. It made for drama all week, as heroic play was required to get into playoffs and then make the next cut. Fan and media interst was very high. Contrast this with the changes made in the International over the past several years. When it began, there wwere several cuts (like the ADT) with scores reset to 0 (like the ADT) giving the tournament multiple stoties and occasions for excitement. Now, there is no reset for the final round as the players' argument that good play should be rewarded with a better position on the last day prevailed. I would like to see a return to the reset after each round. It makes the four rounds seem like four separate one day elimination tournaments; lotsa pressure, lotsa excitement and something different from the weekend after weekend repetition of generic 72 hole stroke tournaments. They're doing it with the four final FedEx tournaments; why not do a microcosm version with the International? -- Watson deMeneux -Say it out loud next time you're in a restaurant.

I didn't watch a shot of it. Of course, Michelle Wie wasn't playing.
