I'm interested in getting started in making and repairing my own clubs. What
are some websites that you guys use for tools/supplies needed? The only one
I've really found has been www.golfsmith.com.

thanks
Bart

All you really need is a vise, which you can buy at Sears for less than
20 bucks, one of those rubber things you put in the vise so it won't
k up shafts, usually about 5 bucks and a saw to cut clubs....that's
if you want to MAKE clubs. You can use a dremel tool to cut shafts
instead of a saw. A tube cutter will also work to cut steel shafts. I
use an old roller tray (paint roller) to collect solvent when I put on
grips. Just follow the instructions on websites like Golfsmith.

Start slow...don't be in a hurry to be a Dana Upshaw! .....make a
single club and then move along as the urge siezes you, learn to do
what you want to do. It's not hard at all to make golf clubs, and you
will make far better clubs for yourself than you can buy, either custom
or OEM.
