John, at least you are getting to watch it. The message I get is

The fact that you're anxious to see live action at The Masters is, in my
opinion, nothing to be ashamed of. Nor is it an indication that you don't
"have a life." Not in the least.
For many of us, The Masters is the biggest sporting event of the year --
even bigger than the Super Bowl (unless our team is playing in it).
I've said for many years that everything before The Masters is just the
"pre-season." The Masters signals the start of the golf season. It also
means the warm weather is here...or almost here.
And in my world, that's a pretty big deal each year.
But then again, I don't have a life either. :-)
And I wouldn't have it any other way.

that's funny to hear--i have always felt the same way. i keep an eye on
pebble and generally whatever is going on, but dont really start paying
attention till the masters...
